Fine and delicate like the first roses of spring, Primoroso is a playful and eclectic blend made to convey the spirit of the Oso Libre style. Fruity aromas of rose petals and blueberries introduce this complex, ripe style wine. The extended finish is exotic with perfumes of cinnamon and cardamom rounding out with vanilla and amaretto notes. Winemaking Notes: Fruit fromm 7 different premier local vineyards, all fruit was picked and vineyard sorted on very cold mornings in October. The grapes went straight to the destemmer and crusher. The must was then cold soaked for two days. Open top fermentation was managed with punch-down and pump-over processes twice daily. The must was kept cool for a long fermentation preserving fruit notes. The wine was aged for 20 months in 20% new Hungarian and 10% new French oak and 70% neutral French oak. The wines were aged separately and blended just before bottling.
